My name is Jakob Sparhawk, but i prefer the name Jake if you please. I was born and raised here in Boise, Idaho. Hobbies of mine include playing soccer with friends in my spare time, reading weekly manga and starting new ones, and as well as watching anime. I decided that Boise State was my calling, due to money constraints and easy access. I chose my major to be in pre-pharmacy and hope that within a few semesters i can transfer over to ISU to finish up my schooling. I don’t really have a reason for choosing the path of pharmacy, but life sometimes pushes me towards unanswered regions, and such is that. I’m prepared for your teachings and the numerous classes ahead in my college career.
Ellie Jayo Lens
Hey everyone! My name is Elisa Jayo everyone calls me Ellie! I am a senior at BSU this year and I am majoring in Criminal Justice. A little background about me is, I was born and raised in Emmett Idaho….yes I said Emmett. I have grown up hunting, fishing, camping, and playing sports. I am currently a large animal vet tech in Emmett which I absolutely love. I also rodeo on a couple of my horses. I am 3/4 Basque and my family is very passionate about our Basque history. Some books I used to read (at my own will) were The Child Called It books. I am not a reader, unless of course its a grade and I am forced to. I have one dog, his name is Moesly! One of the biggest things that interests me in our history is the Holocaust. I will admit I am extremely behind on issues in our world and government. I dont watch TV and am rarely on facebook! I am looking forward to being apart of this class and learning more about our history and hopefully it will help me focus more on what is happening around me today. I am very familiar with our legal system, because that is what I have been studying the past four years of college. I plan on finishing my bachelors degree this fall. Although I have worked very hard to get this degree I will continue being a large animal vet tech for awhile and eventually move into my degree. I love my job and everything it entails, I am a huge supporter of farming/ranching. One thing that I wish I could change about this world is how it operates. We need more farm land, more livestock, and less chemicals. Anyways, thats just a little bit about me, I look forward to meeting all of you.
Kyle Mitsunaga
Hello all! My name is Kyle Mitsunaga and I am a junior here at BSU. I am studying business finance. A little bit about me I grew up ironically here in Boise, Idaho. I then moved to Huntington Beach, California and went to jr high and high school. I played a lot of hockey growing up which is why I moved down there in the first place. After those year I ended up here back in Idaho and I still love it here in Boise. I think this influenced me a lot growing up, the main reason why I say this is because I moved out away from family to pursue my hockey career when I was 15 years old. Doing this really did change the way I looked at life. I grew up fast I like to believe, learning how to do all the things on my own was a big change. Most of all I would have to say I learned to respect my parents much more, not to say I didn’t before I moved out. Just to understand that they were giving apart of my childhood life away from them just to have me pursue my goals made me realize that they were sacrificing a lot.
Growing up my family was religious and still are. It was something that was just normal to me. Once I moved away I think that grew on me. Religion gave me something to do when I was away from family. Like I said above it just made me realize somethings that I didn’t when I had it all living with my parents. It’s something that will always stay with me and has influenced my life for the greater. I view things differently now, I treat people with respect because I feel that is something that everyone should deserve at the very least. It is who I am and it comes from what I’ve been through growing up as a kid playing a silly sport on ice. That is the little HISTORY about me!
Anyways that is a little about me, if you have questions just ask! I hope all of you have a great semester. Good luck with all of your classes. I am looking forward to working with all of you on our course site!
